A Middlepos resident has testified that she saw Kelly Smith pulling her daughter, Joshlin, into her shack on the Sunday evening before she went missing.
Paulina Tshosa is facing cross-examination by the defence for Steveno van Rhyn at the Western Cape High Court, in the kidnapping and human trafficking trial.
Kelly Smith, her boyfriend, Jacquen Apollis and Steveno van Rhyn are facing charges of kidnapping and human trafficking.
Tshosa says she saw how the child’s pink flip-flop fell off as her mother dragged her into the shack during an argument with whom she assumed was Kelly’s partner.
Tshosa says she recognised the people she saw that night, at subsequent televised court proceedings in the Vredenburg Magistrate’s Court.
