ANCYL in Limpopo welcomes arrest in teen’s murder

The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in Limpopo has welcomed the arrest of a man who allegedly stabbed his 14-year-old stepdaughter to death at Ga-Thoka outside Polokwane.

The incident happened as the deceased, Rebotile Moloto, walked to school yesterday morning.

The suspect fled the scene after the stabbing.

He was, however, later arrested.

ANCYL Limpopo convener of Gender and Equality, Lehlogonolo Maeba, visited the grade nine learner’s family.

‘Upon receipt of this news, the ANCYL Limpopo visited the affected family and the community and established that the 14-year-old girl child, Rebotile Moloto, was a grade 9 learner at Klass Mothapo who resides at Ga-Thoka and originally comes from Moletjie Moshate. That the incident follows an attempted attack by the alleged perpetrator, who is allegedly a stepfather to the victim, who fled the scene upon the arrival of the police. That the incident happened in the morning when Rebotile was on her way to school to write her first quarter assessments.”
