Sandton restaurant shooting claims three lives

Gauteng police say three people have been shot dead and four injured at a restaurant in Sandton, Johannesburg last night.

According to police, a man with a firearm wanted to enter the restaurant, which has a no firearm policy, when an altercation began.

This led to a shootout between the man’s bodyguards and security at the restaurant.

Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.
