The North West province has recorded a 3,9% decrease of crime in the third quarter of the 2024/25 financial year.
Provincial MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Wessels Morweng accompanied by Acting Provincial Police Commissioner, Major General Patrick Asaneng released the provincial crime statistics in Stilfontein.
Morweng elaborates says the province saw a general decrease in crime.
“We recorded a total of 26,999 cases, which are over 1,100 cases less than the corresponding period the previous year. This translates into 3,9% decrease; in total the province had a 6,6% contribution to the national total,” says Morweng.
