Cocaine worth millions seized at OR Tambo International Airport.
Police have arrested another drug mule at the OR Tambo International Airport. The 55-year-old Nigerian national arrived at the airport from Brazil.
A few weeks ago, police arrested two South African nationals at the same airport for drug trafficking. They seized cocaine with an estimated street value of seven-point-five million rand.
Police spokesperson, Amanda van Wyk says, “The suspect had just landed from Saõ Paulo, Brazil when he was intercepted by police. A medical x-ray later confirmed that he had ingested multiple objects suspected to be bullets suspected to contain cocaine. The suspect, who is still in the process of releasing bullets, is expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court later this week. ”
