The case against alleged underworld figure, Nafiz Modack has been postponed until tomorrow in the Cape Town High Court.

This is because state advocate, Greg Wolmarans has taken ill.

Modack and 14 others are facing over a hundred charges, which include murder, attempted murder, extortion and the murder of Anti-Gang Unit detective, Charl Kinnear.

Yesterday, he told the court that there were some police officers who made assassination threats against him in 2018 and 2019.

In his affidavit, Modack told the court that he was extorted by about R3 million by police officers who he alleges that are corrupt.

He said they wanted to assassinate him.

He also said that Kinnear offered that he would withdraw the extortion charges against him.

The matter resumes on Wednesday.
