The trial into the disappearance case of seven-year-old Joslin Smith is expected to get underway on Monday in the Circuit High Court in Saldanha Bay in the Western Cape.
Her mother and two co-accused face charges of kidnapping and trafficking.
The girl went missing from her home in the Middlepos informal settlement on the 19 February last year.
The pre-trial for Joslin’s mother, Kelly Smith, her boyfriend Jacquen Appollis, and Steveno van Rhyn was held in Cape Town last month.
The trio will be transferred from Pollsmoor to the Malmesbury Correctional Centre to prepare for their upcoming trial.
Media will be allowed to cover the trial, but with strict restrictions including not to capture state witnesses, the accused, or their counsel.

It has been a year since the child went missing, and despite extensive search efforts and an ongoing investigation, she has still not been found.
The trial is set to run in Saldanha from 3 March to 28 March .
