Zuma-Sambudla trial set to resume in Durban High Court on Monday


The trial of Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla is set to resume on Monday in the Durban High Court.

The daughter of former President Jacob Zuma faces charges under the Terrorism Act. She is accused of inciting violence during the 2021 unrest.

The State continues to lead evidence with a new witness expected to take the stand.

The court has already heard testimony from several State witnesses, including social media experts.

“The case against Zuma Sambudla returns to the Durban court, on Monday. She faces charges of of incitement to commit terrorism as well as incitement to commit public violence. This is in connection to unrest public violence that occurred in July 2021 in various parts of the country,” says NPA spokesperson Natasha Ramkisson-Kara.

Ramkisson-Kara says the state will resume its case and has lead four witnesses thus far.
