The City of Tshwane says it is making steady progress in the restoration of water distribution network. This follows the completion of Rand Water’s planned maintenance programme.
The maintenance has affected several municipalities across Gauteng.

Tshwane spokesperson, Lindela Mashego says the water levels are gradually improving as the system stabilises.
“Rand Water has confirmed that the Palmiet System is currently pumping at 89% capacity as it continues to stabilize. This is contributing to the gradual improvement of storage levels across the city while some parts of region one including Mabopane, Soshanguve L and Kreisfontein may experience lower water pressure recovery interventions remain in place and water continues to be distributed throughout the network.”
