Two Limpopo learners have been burnt beyond recognition, and several others have been injured after the scholar transport and a minibus taxi they were travelling in burst into flames on the Apel Cross-Tswaing road outside Lebowakgomo.

Seven people were hospitalised, while 13 escaped uninjured. Police say the vehicle was overloaded with 22 learners. The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon but only came to light on Thursday.
The driver has been arrested for two counts of alleged culpable homicide and contravention of the National Road Traffic Act. The suspected driver is expected to appear at the Nebo Magistrates Court on Friday.
