Court set to rule on bail application in Zovuyo Mbana murder trial


The Magistrate’s Court in KuGompo City in the Eastern Cape is expected to rule on the bail application of a school principal and church leader, accused of murder and defeating the ends of justice.

George Plaatjies faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder and defeating the ends of justice after the killing of Zovuyo Mbana who he is believed to have had an extramarital affair.

Plaatjies’ three co-accused have abandoned their bail application.

The court is expected to be packed with residents who are demanding that Plaatjies should not be released on bail.
