Captain Lawrence Makgotloe appears before the Madlanga Commission.
The case against Captain Lawrence Makgotloe, attached to the South African Police Services (SAPS) Forensic Science Laboratory, has been postponed to June 2.
Police say the allegations are linked to a number of ongoing murder investigations, as well as evidence presented before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
Captain Makgotloe made a brief appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where the matter was postponed for further investigations and a possible bail application.
Makgotloe was arrested by the Commission Recommendations Task Team at his home in Pretoria on Friday.
Police say he allegedly interfered with the administration of justice in ongoing murder investigations.
