Some energy analysts believe President Cyril Ramaphosa is likely to announce government’s plans to mitigate load shedding when he delivers the State of the Nation Address (SONA) this evening.

Eskom implemented stage three load shedding last Friday and Saturday.

It said it had sought to replenish its emergency reserves after some of its units tripped.

He says over 300 days without electricity interruption is a step in the right direction.

Trollip adds, however, that there’s likely to be more load-shedding before the country’s energy crisis is resolved.
