Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula appears in court on October 16, 2024.
The case against corruption accused former National Assembly speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula continues in the High Court in Pretoria today.
She faces 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering for allegedly soliciting bribes during her time as Minister of Defence.
It is alleged that the kickbacks received by Mapisa-Nqakula amount to approximately R 4.5 million.
The High Court is expected to hear an application by her defence counsel on the disclosure of sections B and C of the docket.
While the state has disclosed section A, it is refusing to divulge two sections which deal with correspondence and the investigation diary.
Last month, the case against Mapisa-Nqakula was postponed when her defence counsel filed its heads of arguments late.
