ActionSA, Forum 4 Service Delivery merge

ActionSA says the appointment of Forum 4 Service Delivery leader Mbhahare Kekana as the deputy president of the party is with immediate effect.

Forum 4 Service Delivery has merged with ActionSA and will contest the 2026 local government elections under the ActionSA umbrella.

The announcement was made by ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba in Johannesburg today.

“It is therefore with great pleasure ladies and gentlemen that I carry out the mandate of ActionSA senate and other structures to welcome Dr Kekana as Deputy President of ActionSA with immediate effect. So, I’m sure you can understand and all of you agree with me, because our structures both ActionSA and Forum for Service Delivery, we realize that for the sake of our country we need constitutional changes to accommodate to have a Deputy President in our party.”

The Forum 4 Service Delivery, which was formed in 2015, currently holds 38 municipal seats in five provinces.

Also speaking in Johannesburg, ActionSA national chairperson Michael Beaumont says both organisations will now contest next year’s elections under one big green umbrella.

“Is that going forth, from this time is that these organisations will campaign under the banner and the identity of ActionSA. We will campaign together and we will contest the 2026 local government elections as ActionSA. ActionSA has amended our constitution to ensure that we have established the position of the Deputy President of our organisation.”
