African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has described as mischievous former party President Jacob Zuma’s letter of demand to be reinstated as an ANC member.
This comes after lawyers of uMkhonto weSizwe party leader wrote to Mbalula to demanding their client’s immediate reinstatement.
This is pending what the lawyers term compliance with the constitutions of the ANC and the country.
Speaking on the sidelines of the party’s January 8 celebrations in the Western Cape, Mbalula said the letter sought to divert the party from the occasion.
“He had an opportunity to send his love letter many days ago, he didn’t but he chose this day. That is how he works, that is how he operates, mischievous, uncouth, ridiculous old man who basically thrives on disunity for his own self interests.”
