Thambo slams talks of predetermined outcome at EFF Conference

Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Central Command Team member, Sinawo Thambo, has dismissed criticism that the party’s third national people’s assembly had a predetermined outcome.

This comes after all EFF top officials were elected by party delegates unopposed yesterday with Malema retaining his positing as president of the party.

Thambo spoke to SABC News on Sunday morning at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg where the EFF concludes its elective conference.

He  says yesterday’s electoral outcome is a true demonstration that EFF party structures are united and disciplined.

“Just because this was not open to public knowledge and was not as chaotic as we see like other political parties, doesn’t mean there wasn’t robust internal robust democratic debate into who should be elected. Consensus was reached to avoid humiliation of the organisation at a moment in which we are suffering some high level of sabotage and infiltration and uncertainty which the president spoke to in his political report,” explains Thambo.
