ActionSA in the Northern Cape has called on the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to extend the lifestyle audit currently being conducted in Premier Zamani Saul’s office to provincial departments and municipalities.

They also want the findings of the audit be made public.

ActionSA says this is a positive step in rebuilding public trust.

Provincial ActionSA chairperson Andrew Louw says, “ActionSA Northern Cape cautiously welcomes the announcement of a lifestyle audit being conducted by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) in the Premier’s office. ActionSA challenges the Premier to demonstrate genuine commitment to accountability by subjecting not only himself but also the entire legislature to a lifestyle audit. The credibility of this audit and the handling of its findings will be pivotal in restoring public confidence.”
