Johannesburg Water says it has arranged alternative supply ahead of the planned Rand Water infrastructure maintenance starting Friday.
Various areas across the city are expected to experience low pressure to no water during the maintenance period.
Johannesburg Water spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala says water trucks will be deployed to the affected areas.
“Priority will be given to hospitals, clinics, schools, vulnerable communities and informal settlements. Impacted Johannesburg Water systems during the Rand Water planned maintenance include Sandton, Linksfield, Randjeslaagte, South Hills, Midrand, Randburg, Roodepoort, Soweto, Naturena, Eagles nest, Alan Manor, Aeroton, Parktown, Central, Brixton, Crosby, Hursthill and Lenasia.”
