The African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) concludes its two-day meeting today in Kempton Park, the East of Johannesburg.
The Highest decision making body in between the conference met to deliberate on a number of issues, including the party’s election plan as well as the selection of its mayoral candidates ahead of the Local Government Elections.
The meeting also concludes against the backdrop of the party’s Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula filing a court application to have the Eastern Cape High Court rescind its decision that stopped the party’s provincial conference from taking place in March.
Earlier this week, Mbalula appointed a 39-member Eastern Cape Provincial Task Team (PTT).
The PTT was appointed because the term of the PEC has expired.
