Mamelodi Sundowns captain Themba Zwane says they are calm and optimistic ahead of the second leg of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League final against AS FAR in Rabat.
The Bafana Bafana international is the only player remaining from the 2016 CAF Champions League-winning Sundowns side.
Sundowns won the first leg 1-0 after Aubrey Modiba’s free-kick in Pretoria.
The second leg of the 2026 CAF Champions League final is scheduled for Sunday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The former Mpumalanga Black Aces player says he has been reminding the younger players of the importance of the event and the opportunity to make history again.
“It’s always trying to remind them how big it is, the excitement that we’re going to get. Overall, the country, we have to push ourselves and try to make history. I think this group will be remembered even after 10 years.”
