Modimolle crash on the N1 in Limpopo where five people were killed
Four members of the same family who died in a crash outside Modimolle in Limpopo on Wednesday last week are set to be buried in Xikundu outside Malamulele on Saturday.
Collins Maswanganyi, his wife Patience, their two children and a neighbour were travelling from Gauteng to Xikundu for Easter weekend when they were killed.
The neighbour, Extra Tlukane, was buried on Saturday.
Family spokesperson, Khombo Maswanganyi, says one of the couple’s children survived the crash and is recovering in hospital.
“We were deeply hurt after hearing about this accident on the radio. We didn’t know that the people involved were from our family. We are really heartbroken because Collins was the pillar of the family. Over Easter, we were supposed to attend a wedding with him and his family, but everything fell apart because he passed away while on his way home.”
