More than 72 000 people processed at Beitbridge Border: BMA

The Border Management Authority (BMA) says more than 72 000 travelers have been processed at the Beitbridge Border Post since the start of the Easter holidays. BMA Assistant Commissioner, Azwi Managa, says they have deployed enough personnel to handle the number of people.

” Those that are coming in with buses are taken to the main building for processing. We are in the second shift of our execution phase. We were anticipating a high volume for arrivals. And then I think today we expect to process plus-minus 25 000 people as per normal during the time. So far, holistically, we have processed, since the departure leg up to now about 72 000 people.”
