African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa delivers closing address at the party’s Limpopo 11th Provincial Elective Conference in Polokwane on March 29, 2026.
African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa says the country will not abandon the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) policy to redress the injustices of the past.
He was speaking during the Limpopo ANC’s 11th Provincial Elective Conference in Polokwane.
Ramaphosa says BEE policies will not be scrapped.
He says, “We have sought to improve the lives of our people and our Constitution has laid a very firm foundation for transformation by mandating that the democratic state should redress the inequalities and imbalances of our past.”
Ramaphosa adds, “We have also put in place measures to restore human dignity of our people. Those who say that BEE must stop and affirmative action must stop are just dreaming.”
