SANParks says it welcomes the re-opening of the Giriyondo Border Post following its temporary closure due to floods in January this year.
The Border Management Authority will re-open it on Tuesday.
The border, which is located in the northern region of the Kruger National Park, links the country and the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique. It’s re-opening restores access for travelers and tourists making use of the Transfrontier route.
Due to persistent & heavy rainfall affecting the Limpopo & Mpumalanga Provinces, the park has taken a precautionary decision not to allow day visitors into Kruger National Park until conditions improve:
