Tiffany Meek expected to plead guilty to some charges at next court appearance

Thirty-two-year-old Tiffany Meek, accused of killing her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee, is expected to plead to the charges against her when the case resumes on the 25th of this month.

She appeared in the High Court sitting at Palm Ridge in Ekurhuleni earlier Tuesday.

Meek faces several charges including murder, obstructing the administration of justice, and attempting to defeat the administration of justice. This is in connection with the death of her son whose body was found near their home in Fleurhof, Johannesburg.

The defense has indicated that Meek intends to plead guilty to some of the charges brought against her.

Jayden-Lee’s body was discovered the next morning next to a stairway in the complex where he lived with his mother in Fleurhof.

The NPA in Gauteng says the investigations show that the child returned home from school and was allegedly killed inside the house.

It is further alleged that the accused later staged the scene in an attempt to mislead authorities.
