Minister of Electricity, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa
The Minister of Electricity Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says steady progress is being made in reforming the country’s electricity sector.
Speaking outside the Cape Town City Hall, hours before President Cyril Ramaphosa is scheduled to deliver the State of the Nation Address, the Minister says the transformation process is gaining momentum, citing improvements in grid access and ongoing structural reforms within the industry.
Ramokgopa adds that businesses have been invited to actively contribute ideas and proposals to help shape electricity frameworks.
The engagement forms part of broader efforts to strengthen collaboration between government and the private sector in reshaping South Africa’s energy landscape.
