Witness F, through his lawyers, turned to the Gauteng High Court in Petoria, in an attempt to block his appearance as well as interdict the Commission from displaying whatsapp exchanges extracted from his phone, citing fears of self-incrimination to support the relief sought.
The matter which was set to be heard this week ahead of his looming second appearance on Monday was abandoned in light of the fact that the Commission proceeded with the witness’ testimony last week and started displaying his whatsapp exchanges.
Witness F, who was seen in CCTV footage at the home of alleged cartel member, Katiso “KT” Molefe leaving with a bag, will return to the Commission on Monday, 16 February 2026.
