South Africa’s Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau is leading the South African delegation to the Joint Economic Trade Commission in Beijing, China, alongside his counterpart, Minister Wang Wentao.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral trade ties and promoting closer economic cooperation between South Africa and China.
The ministers have signed the China–Africa Economic Partnership Agreement (CAEPA), a landmark deal set to grant South African exports duty-free access to the Chinese market while boosting investment into South Africa’s economy.
