A severe thunderstorm accompanied by heavy downpours, damaging winds, excessive lightning and hail is expected to hit areas in the southern and midlands of KwaZulu-Natal.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a yellow level 2 warning for Thursday and Friday.
Areas that could be affected include Greater Kokstad, Underberg, Giant Castle, Mooi River, Newcastle and many others.
Residents are urged to heed the weather alert as the severe thunderstorm could lead to localised flooding and damage to infrastructure.
