Ofentse Vinger’s mother will miss his laughter, stories, stubbornness

The mother of 6-year-old Ofentse Jayden Vinger says she’s going to miss his laughter, stories and stubbornness.

She said this in a letter read out at her son’s funeral by a family representative.

The joint funeral of three of the fourteen learners is underway at the Saul Tsotetsi multipurpose centre in Sebokeng in the Vaal.

Vinger,  a Grade 1 learner from Oliver Lodge Primary School, was among the fourteen learners who perished in the tragic scholar transport crash in Vanderbijlpark on Monday.

Vinger family representative Mamotse Madlela read the letter: “Ao ngwana waka hle, you were so young, I only had you for six years. Not knowing you will only go to school for three days. The whole week I have been so angry to God, you left a void in my heart that no one will ever fill.”
