Fatal taxi accident in the Eastern Cape.
Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane has expressed condolences to the families of the nine people who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning.
A minibus taxi collided with a passenger car and a bakkie on the R61.
Eight people were also injured in the crash.
Premier Mabuyane has urged road users to exercise caution.
“I want to wish those hospitalised a speedy recovery. Let’s work together to avoid road carnage. These calamities can be avoided and can be stopped. Let’s act responsibly, and let’s take responsibility with every action we engage in.”
