Bafana Bafana coach aware of weaknesses ahead of knockout stages

South Africa had to dig deep to advance to the round of 16 of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.

Bafana Bafana beat neighbours, Zimbabwe, 3-2 to finish second in Group B behind Egypt.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was satisfied with the win and the fact that his team qualified.

But he acknowledged that his players need to improve if they want to make a real impact in the tournament.

Their ball distribution, concentration and focus were not up to scratch, not against Zimbabwe and also not in the two previous matches.
