The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health is anticipating some disturbance towards day-to-day health services in its institutions following disruptions by a severe thunderstorm at the Amajuba District.
The storm has affected parts of the Madadeni EMS base and the Niemeyer Memorial Hospital where a roof of the outpatient Department, as well as the Casualty Admitting Office were blown away resulting in flooding.
Over 150 households have been affected and about 50 houses completely damaged.
Three people sustained injuries.
