The National Consumer Commission (NCC) is urging consumers who still have Domestos Lemon and Domestos Summer Fresh 750ml products manufactured between August and September of this year to return them to their retailers.
These products have been recalled due to a reported pinhole defect at the bottom of some bottles, which can cause leakage when pressure is applied.
The NCC Spokesperson, Phetho Ndaba has advised consumers to return these items even if they no longer have proof of purchase.
“What we are saying to consumers (is) if you have that product, try to apply a bit of pressure and if there’s a spillage then you will know that there is a pinhole. But if there is no spillage and when you look at the manufacturing date, it doesn’t fall within the two months which is August and September, then your product is safe.”
