President Cyril Ramaphosa addresses the National Dialogue Convention at Unisa in Pretoria in August 2025.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has confirmed the nominees from different social sectors to serve on the National Dialogue Steering Committee.
The committee will be responsible for setting strategic priorities and coordinating implementation of the process across the country.
Presidential Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya says the Eminent Persons Group compiled the nominations from the various sectors.
Magwenya says, “Over the last few months, many organisations in the 33 identified sectors and six sub-sectors held various meetings to identify their nominees. Every effort has been made to ensure that no sector of our society is left behind.”
“In addition to the sectoral representatives, the President was invited to nominate two representatives and the former Preparatory Task Team and Convention Organising Committee was invited to nominate three persons,” he adds.
