ANCYL resolves to implement step aside policy

The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) has resolved that the mother body’s step aside policy must be implemented even in the youth structure.

Speaking at the end of the ANCYL Conference in Limpopo, the League’s Policy Drafting Committee Chairperson Kutloano Rakosa says members who are implicated in wrongdoing continue to participate in the League’s activities because the step aside rule has not been implemented.

Rakosa says, “Step aside policy has not been effected from them, so the ANC Youth League need to develop its own policy allowing people who are doing wrong things and are found to be doing things that are not aligned to the organisation.”
