Thami Ntuli survives a motion of no confidence brought by MKP

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has survived a motion of no confidence brought by the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP).

The Legislature in Pietermaritzburg descended into chaos earlier after the Speaker Nontembeko Boyce ruled against using a secret ballot.

The MKP asked for a secret ballot, arguing that some members had received death threats ahead of Monday’s vote.

The situation deteriorated further when she announced that the motion had failed.
