The Presidency says that South Africa will not ask G20 member countries to boycott the next meeting in Miami, Florida.
This after US President Donald Trump said that South Africa would not be invited to the gathering next year.
This is despite South Africa being one of the founding members of the G20.

Presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya says South Africa is encouraging G20 members to condemn the US for its stance.
“We have encouraged members to express quite strongly their own views as they’ve expressed to us, their support as well as their rejection of the US’s position and decision in this regard, which was taken unilaterally in a body that takes decisions through consensus. What we are not going to do, which is not going to be helpful, we’re not going to ask countries to boycott G20 meetings and G20 processes.”
