The Madlanga Commission has heard how Ekurhuleni Deputy Metro Police Chief Julius Brigadier Julius Mkhwanazi entered into an endless working relationship with CAT VIP Protection.
This is according to a new witness Revo Spies, a retired Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Deputy Chief of Police testifying this afternoon.
This as EMPD through Brigadier Mkhwanazi entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to have Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala’s vehicles unlawfully fitted with blue lights.
Spies elaborates: “This letter serves to confirm that the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department under the command of acting Deputy Metro Commissioner Brigadier JD Mkhwanazi of specialized service, has an endless working relationship and memorandum of understanding with Cat VIP to assist EMPD officers in any VIP protection and security services in and out of the City of Ekurhuleni.”
