DA welcoming new party members
Four senior ANC officials in the Western Cape have joined the DA after resigning from the party.
They include the party’s Provincial Secretary Neville Delport, ward councillors Daniel Baadjies and Paul Strauss as well as Regional Executive member Jason Donn.
They were introduced by the DA Federal Council Chairperson Helen Zille and the party’s Western Cape leader Tertuis Simmers during a media briefing in Cape Town.
Delport, who spoke on behalf of the others, says this is just the beginning of many ANC members in the province who will be crossing over to the DA.
