Crime Intelligence Head Dumisani Khumalo testifying before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in September.
Crime Intelligence Head Dumisani Khumalo will return to the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria on Tuesday morning.
He was unable to continue his testimony last month because he fell ill. Since then, various witnesses, including the Hawks Divisional Commissioner Patrick Mbotho, have testified.
Mbotho denied allegations that Hawks members attempted to interfere in police operations to arrest businessman and murder accused Katiso “KT” Molefe at his home in Sandhurst, Johannesburg, in December last year.
General Mbotho testified that he did not know whose house the police operation was being conducted on when Molefe was arrested in December 2024.
The Hawks have been accused of trying to interfere with police operations at Molefe’s premises.
However, Hawks members have defended their actions by alluding to a bogus police operation that they believed was being conducted.
However, questions have been raised about why they remained outside the premises even though there was confirmation of a legitimate police operation taking place.
