Airlink reports widespread flight disruptions, blames navigation services

Local air carrier Airlink says it is suffering disruptions to its scheduled air services to several destinations. These include travelling from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, Pietermaritzburg, Richards Bay and Mthatha.

The airline has pointed the finger of blame at South Africa’s Air Traffic Navigation Services, saying that the validity of these airports’ Instrument Flight Procedures, also known as IFPs, had not been timeously maintained.

In the meantime, Airlink says it’s doing everything possible to get customers to their intended destinations as quickly as possible.

The airline is also encouraging customers booked to fly to or from the said destinations to contact it or their travel agents for the latest flight status.
