Free State Premier Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae.
The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in the Free State is calling for Premier Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae to step down together with her cabinet.
In a leaked statement to the media, the League says Letsoha-Mathae has failed the youth and the entire province by trampling upon the principles of consultation and accountability.
The League highlights that the province has become a wasteland and a state of decay with municipalities failing in the provision of service delivery.
The League cites widespread alleged corruption, ailing infrastructure and high unemployment.
They also want the Free State ANC Provincial Executive Committee to be dissolved or reconfigured, calling them irresponsible and directionless.
This comes after the League led a march to the Premier’s office in June asking for a provincial youth economic program amongst others.
