UIM President Neil de Beer
United Independent Movement (UIM) President Neil de Beer has died at the age of 56.
His party has confirmed that he died this morning after losing the battle with cancer.

De Beer is a former national security advisor to former president Nelson Mandela.
He’s also a former intelligence operative of the African National Congress’ (ANC) former military wing uMkhonto weSizwe.
De Beer had previously worked for the apartheid government.
