Accused in DJ Sumbody’s murder to know bail application outcome next week

The man accused of ordering a hit on DJ Sumbody, Katiso “KT” Molefe will find out next week Wednesday whether he will be released on bail.

Molefe has applied for bail at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court, north of Johannesburg.

He was arrested in July in connection with the murders of Oupa Sefoka, also known as DJ Sumbody and Hector Buthelezi. also known as DJ Vintos.

In opposing bail, state prosecutor Khethokwakhe Ngubane says Molefe should not be released, as he had previously travelled to the United Kingdom using a fraudulent passport and a different name.

Ngubane says, “When he visited the UK, the name that he used was David Lebitsa and was never explained before, was the name used and each of the passports then, as well, that the passport that used, there was a fraudulent passport. The state submitted consideration that this court has to make.”
