Murder accused Zacharia Olivier, Rudolf De Wet and William Musora appear before the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on 10 September 2024.
Pre-trial proceedings in the pig farm murder trial are expected to be finalised in the High Court in Polokwane in Limpopo today.
Lawyers representing Zacharia Olivier, Rudolf De Wet and William Musora are still consulting with their clients before the trial begins on Monday.
They are accused of killing Maria Makgato and Kudzai Ndlovu on a farm outside Polokwane.
The remains of the two women were allegedly fed to pigs on the farm in August last year.
Accused number two, Rudolf De Wet has now turned state witness.
De Wet, who was employed on the farm, will now provide witness testimony against former employer and pig farmer, Zacharia Olivier and Zimbabwean illegal immigrant William Musora.
Meanwhile, Olivier’s defense indicated to court on Monday, that it has not been able to successfully consult with their client.
Legal representatives are still preparing for the trial which effectively starts on Monday next week.
