EFF vows to continue holding Ramaphosa accountable

The Economic Freedom Fighters says it will continue holding President Cyril Ramaphosa accountable over the PhalaPhala saga just as they did with former President Jacob Zuma’s Nkandla homestead.

The party, which was established in 2013 made its prominence known with the slogan “pay back the money” which was directed at former President Zuma.

EFF national chairperson Nontando Nolutshungu says as the red berets mark yet another year of celebrations, they will continue holding the executive and the entire African National Congress accountable.

She was speaking at the EFF birthday celebrations at the Khayelitsha Rugby Stadium in the Western Cape.

“And we are going to hold the executive accountable, particularly the executive of the ANC. And we are also bringing PhalaPhala. It was first Jacob Zuma pay back the money. It is now going to be PhalaPhala and the rest of the corrupt leadership of the ANC.”

The EFF is currently the fourth largest party in Parliament. It dropped from three to fourth position after last year’s national general elections.

The party says it will use these celebrations to reflect on its existence.
