National convenor of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party’s Youth League, Qiniso Cibane, says their leader, Jacob Zuma, is set to launch the party’s youth league’s national programme in Durban today to mark Youth Day.
Cibane, who expressed concern over unemployment, crime and gender-based violence, says Zuma will give an address at the rally at a stadium in Clermont in the south of the metro.
“We’re a youth that is disciplined, we’re a youth that is organised, therefore we will be consistent in our outlined programmes that are set to be beneficial for the betterment of the youth. Such programmes will give us time to interact and engage with our youth and find solutions. We will then have a way forward on how to challenge the current economic injustice we are facing in our country currently.”
