A by-election is taking place in Ward 9, Stellenbosch, in the Western Cape, today.
This follows the resignation of the Ward Councillor.
African National Congress (ANC) Alysa-Abby Kekana and the Democratic Alliance’s (DA) Isabelle de Taillefer will contest the by-election.
There are 3232 registered voters in the ward.
Voting stations opened at 7am and will close at 9pm.
